How the hell isn’t this scene among the usually giffed/most important Destiel scenes?

Dean asks Cas if he’s okay, because his brother Raphael just told him that God, his father, is dead. And Castiel is clearly not okay, so what does Dean do? He talks about himself. How many times have you actually heard Dean talking about himself? Not many, really. Dean hates talking about himself. But to comfort and reassure Cas? He does.

Also the two of them are not as close as they get to be later in the series, but despite Dean thinks (and clearly says) that Castiel’s plan doesn’t seem like a good one, he encourages it. He tells him to trust his feeling and to go for it.

I’m not even saying this as a shipper. But this is real, deep trust. And true friendship.
