We’re only five episodes in

We could talk about how these deaths showcase that Dean carries the heart-arc of the show, how that, just as in Oz, the Tin-man (who feels so empty) turns out to have had a huge heart all along.

We could contemplate the long queer comet tail of the show; how each of these relationships of Dean’s is woven through with threads of queerness, either in subtext or text or both; neither Wincest nor Destiel being purely fan created. Here we have Dean’s “profound bond” with his angel, Dean’s adopted sisterhood with lesbian Charlie, Dean’s “erotically co-dependent” relationship with his brother.  

We could recall that Dean himself was the first to be snatched from Death’s reaper, long ago, in ”Faith” (1×12) when his damaged heart was repaired – through a preacher’s wife’s homophobic magical sacrifice of openly gay teacher Marshall Hall, who died of a heart attack.  

Yes, we could talk about the fact that Dean has a queer heart.
