A brief reminder that dressage is derived from the various moves medieval European war horses were trained to do. Imagine the horse, in armor, giving that kick on a crowded battle field. 

Not to mention that horse, covered in armor, delivering that kick, trained to bite and gutterstomp whatever it just knocked down.
