CAS STOP SEXTING

see, this made me flinch and look away at first. In an ‘ararrrggh the writers are doing that stupid clueless trying-too-hard Cas stereotype again’.

But then as soon as Dean left the room Misha dropped it. And I realised it wasn’t the writers trying to hard with their Cas characterisation. It was Castiel himself. Cas was deliberately trying to do the ‘clueless about humanity’ thing for Dean’s sake – to make Dean smile and/or bring out that part of him that always responds warmly, protectively, teasingly, positively to Castiel when he does that. To appeal to the very Dean part of Dean.

And Dean didn’t give it to him. 😦
