Damn. That episode was heavy. They had some comedy bits to lighten it, but damn.
I enjoyed it, but it was a rather sudden veer into the dark side of this show.
Sam Winchester worries me, given what he’s capable of doing for Dean’s sake.
The first five minutes are brutal, if you’re sensitive to the subject matter, which I’m not usually, but it still made me stare in horror. Ditto for a good chunk of the climax of the episode. Dean talking himself out of the mindset was stellar, though.
And then Sam had to go and open the fucking box that caused it. Talk about Pandora’s Box – I’m pretty sure hers didn’t have a suicide curse protecting it.
