Idk, i never felt that Charlie was “us.” I mean, she was certainly meant to appeal to us, but i just don’t get the “i’m done with this show they killed “us” on the show!” attitude. I don’t get being done with the show/fandom because of this. But I guess all that’s just a matter of personal opinion. If i’m “done” with anything it’s the wank/negativity that follows events and episodes like this on the show. It’s the fandom i’m frustrated with. That’s not your fault, sorry, just venting.

No worries.  I totally get that–there are several never-ending fandom “discussions” that frustrate me no end and make me want to bitch-slap people up and down Main Street.  TWICE.

A while back, there was a show that just completely broke me.  Because of things going on in my life at the time, I identified so strongly with one of the characters that when the bad stuff happened, and his world fell apart because love is sacrifice, I kept saying, “It feels like it’s happening to me.”  And that’s where I think a lot of this I’m just done attitude is coming from, because even though they’re fictional, the love and grief and pain we feel because of them is genuine and must be suffered through out here in the real world, in real time.

If I’d said, “I’m just done,” when I first realized how that character’s story was going to play out, I might have spared myself more than a year of grief.
