I had a teacher who did this in high school, always referring to what she and her girlfriends did on the weekend. And one day she came in and was like ‘guys i got engaged my girlfriend proposed’ and we all were like wait what cause this whole time she had a girlfriend and i had no idea cause she always was referring to her friends as her girlfriends and it was so confusing
