Protoceratops and Velociraptor. A battle immortalized by death

This was a very famous discovery in the 70s. It is of a Velocirapter and a Protoceratops locked in battle. The Protoceratops has the Velociraptor’s arm crushed in it’s beak, and the Velociraptor had clawed at it’s face and neck. This specimen fascinated me as a child.

It’s assumed that a sandstorm killed them both instantly.
