ianference:

As previously discussed, some parts of Hudson River State Hospital are completely impassible.  Water damage and boarded-off windows have created an incredibly humid environment, which has led to the rapid deterioration of the wood within.  This corridor is obviously impassible.  This one as well, although a fall here might not mean death.  Then there are those toss-up situations like this one – major collapses and missing floors on both the left and right walls; mushy floors that are near collapse throughout.  But on the other hand, the other side boasts a lovely tile-inlaid fireplace, and more importantly, a staircase which allows access to the far reaches of the other floors.  Do I cross it?  Of course.  But I’m not saying it’s a wise decision.
