if chuck is bisexual and dean is bisexual dean could probably sleep with god if he wanted to

That’s really not how sexuality works. The fact that someone falls into the range of gender that you’re attracted to doesn’t mean that they will want to sleep with you, nor that you will necessarily want to sleep with them. That’s like saying a straight man could probably sleep with a particular straight woman if he wanted to, regardless of her feelings on the matter.

no offense but did you ever read the post

Try replacing the names with other people’s names:

If [Scarlett Johansson] is [straight] and [my fast food coworker who’s just starting out in the music business] is [straight], [my coworker] could probably sleep with [Scarlett Johansson] if he wanted to.

It’s not outside the realm of possibility, since they are each the other’s preferred gender. However, it’s extremely unlikely and it’s not whether my coworker wants it that matters, because he’s not the one with the considerable veto power in this situation. Assuming that one person “could probably sleep with” another person “if he wanted to” completely ignores the fact that the other person might have something to say about it, regardless of whether the first person is their preferred gender.

The idea that someone merely has to be the target gender for another person to be able to sleep with them if they want to is the same reasoning used to perpetuate the idea that it’s completely up to men whether particular women sleep with them, which is one of the cornerstones of rape culture.

Did you really compare Scarlett Johansson and a random person to fictional characters who have know each other for years?? Wild…

they have  a point: these two have known each other.

And COULD if he WANTED to meaning if it was brought up and he was feeling up to it. Wanted to; meaning his consent if it was brought up by another consenting party.

There’s no rape culture here. Let’s stop trying to use that term with everything sexual that’s on the internet now-a-days because then it negates the actual problem of rape culture.

I’m not trying to be mean, I hope you don’t take it that way but I think we do need to be careful when we say something is something but really it’s not.
