Do you think people with UV headlights know that everyone hates them? Like…really hates them in an oddly personal way? Do you think they know?

no.

which doesn’t help the rest of us when we can’t see the road while they’re approaching us.

Are those the obnoxiously bright lights that are ridiculous even without the high beams on

bc there used to be commercials about how’re the safer and I remember them playing like this, “but your teenage daughter who just got her license needs to see the road on this dark abandoned highway” but like.. u don’t need them on highways and roads with streetlights,,,,

Yeah, those are the ones. They shine blue light (UV) light instead of yellow so they’re made really bright since it doesn’t dazzle your eyes and leave afterimages that blind you. Instead they regular blind you because the light’s so bright you can’t see past the vehicle that uses them.
