Great news was announced last night during the Moonlight Party 6 streaming event! Viz will be releasing Sailor Moon R The Movie in theatres in January! The film will be available to watch in Japanese with English subtitles or with Viz’s new English dub, done with Viz’s new English Sailor Moon cast. The film will also include the short “Make Up! Sailor Guardians” which played with Sailor Moon R The Movie when it was originally released in theatres in Japan in 1993. This short film, which was never release in North America, mostly consists of clips from the show with a bit of new animation.
