Let’s talk about how upset Cas got when he realized that Dean was questioning his loyalty. Let’s talk about the fact that Cas is willing to sacrifice the trust of an entire army of angels in order to keep Dean’s trust. He could’ve actually explained why he can’t kill Dean, why Dean is necessary in the fight against Metatron. But he didn’t. Instead he chose to demonstrate that he will always choose Dean no matter the cost. He’s loyal to the end. And making sure Dean knows that is more important than maintaining his army.

Let’s talk about how Dean saying ‘stop saying you don’t know’ might also carry a layer of resentment over Cas answering ‘I don’t know’ to the question ‘what broke the connection’ and then disappearing, and by might I mean yes and I cry
