It’s my impression that people’s dislike of Lisa stems from season 6, not her introduction. I do apologize if I have that wrong. Whether Amelia was real or not, people hated her character and writers do take notice I mean if I’m a writer and every time there’s a female character announced and people still go “God not a romantic interest for Dean” when it’s proven false every time, I’d go okay, people don’t like love interests

How exactly are we suppose to warm up to a character who’s entire introduction is objectifying her? That she was nothing more than a good lay, except OH WAIT! Suddenly and without any real interaction between themwe’re suppose to believe Dean has feelings for her? Dreams about having a life with her? When? How? Sam telling Dean to go to her and have a life didn’t even make SENSE. She didn’t even get mentioned again!

Granted, Lisa was a damn saint for taking him in. I like Lisa. I do not like her being paired with Dean because the basis for their relationship is strictly objectification, and it kinda takes some effort to get out from under that setup.

Sam’s whole story with Amelia was boring as hell and out of character for him, which bugged people because he literally 1) did not even look for his brother, and 2) turned his back on a KID desperately seeking his help, or 3) if you’re like me and many others are sure she isn’t real, plusm if you’re like me you’re sitting there going “It is both illegal and impossible for her to be hired and work as a vet when she does not have a permanent place of residence that she pays utilities to because various Federal and State tax/law reasons.”

If I was a writer on a show and reaction to JUST the love interests was always negative, I’d have to look at MYSELF and ask WHY, because it means I am bad at my job and doing something wrong I need to learn how to do better.
