So if you don’t want a show about teenagers I have super good fucking news.
Wait just a flipping minute!!! Are you saying you need more believability out of your TV shows about monsters, ghosts, and demons? More believability out of a program that has killed off it’s leads over a hundred times? More believable than a show where God is a sloppy neurotic writer with a weird sibling rivalry? More reality than a show where the leads hang with the King of Hell and Death himself? More reality than a show that regularly pops back and forth in time and between alternate realities including Scooby freaking Doo? I think if OP is looking for believable, Supernatural might not be the right show for them.
I mean it’s not like Sam had just turned 22 in the pilot and had been on and off hunting a similar amount to Claire… it’s so unfreaking believable they’d be any good at hunting at that age with that experience amiright?!
Being Lucifer’s vessel and the demon blood made zero difference to his ability to hunt werewolves, vampires etc. The boys were purposefully portrayed both kinda winging it and only half knowing what the hell they were doing in the first season, heavily relying on dad’s journal and hunches. They had no idea that vampires even existed etc. they learned, they grew, they were not innate amazing hunters just cos it’s in their blood, they have learned to get as good as they have.
IT IS NOT INNATE. IT’S NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR BLOOD. ANYONE CAN BE A HUNTER IF THEY HAVE ABILITY, LEARN WELL AND HAVE THE TOOLS. THAT IS THE POINT THE SHOW MADE WITH CHARLIE, ASA, JESSE & CESAR, JODY, DONNA, BOBBY, RUFUS, JOHN FREAKING WINCHESTER WHO LEARNED TO HUNT AS AN ADULT AND DID NOT COME FROM A FAMILY OF HUNTERS BUT WAS KNOWN AS THE BEST BY EVERYONE UNTIL HIS SONS OUTSHONE HIM THANKS TO THEIR CRAZY LIFE EXPERIENCE AND LESSONS.
The show is about free will, that blood means nothing, it’s all about the individuals and their choices.
So Wayward Sisters is a show where young 20 – somethings start out relatively capable but not perfect and the show is them learning to get better at hunting?

I make no secret of the fact that I was stoked for the Wayward Sisters to be about Jody and Donna. I’m not about lying. I was excited to see it. I do not apologise for that, at all
But Claire, Patience and Kaia are roughly the same age as Sam was. And if we’re gonna get into the whole ‘was a vessel’ thing. I have great news about Claire, who was an angel vessel, still could be (I don’t want that for her though). Not mythical enough? Kaia and Patience exist
Claire became aware of the Supernatural from a young age. Why? Dad went on an angel mission, and he hasn’t been home in a few years. It’s not that different
Sam Winchester is Lucifer’s vessel, and he had demon blood. Plus, he and Dean are legacies. I’d have watched 8 seasons of Jody and Donna doing stuff, but teenagers – in every damn show, they save the world and shit, and it’s like they can do no wrong. It’s not believable, i’m sorry.
