my boston has a shakey sheep from the kong people that rattles when he shakes it and crunches when he bites it, and i will not tolerate the idea of it dying
he loves his sheep, shaking it brings him such joy that when he thinks you’re upset he will shake his sheep at you because clearly if it makes him happy it must make you happy = dog logic
I have repaired one or two… but she shreds these things. There is often not enough left to salvage.
They’re dog toys, since they have no button eyes and were found in the pet section, but wow, they are not strong! They were clearly made for dogs without teeth.
And shoutout to Kong toys! They make them nice and tough! I wish Daisy love her Kong teddy bear as violently as she loves her elephants. Then again, the reason she probably loves her elephants so much is that they’re so easy to destroy!

boston had this frog with really long legs, and he loved it because he could swing it around like a ballista, and as he’d do the head shake kill maneuvre it flopped and bounced off his head making sure he knew it was dead
the elephant has little limbs she can grab and use to shake her prey to death
and if the leg comes off it’s proof she is an excellent hunter and the kong bears don’t do that – their squids might though
mind you i did have a dog that killed every toy he got except a cheap pikachu won from an arcade that he loved to pieces and carried with him everywhere and occasionally in the dark of night you’d hear this “pika- chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu” from this damn toy which went to bed with him
