they do have a phrase that basically mean this, it’s “i’ll draw your attention to”

as in, “of course my learned friend may wish to contest the accusation of adultery, but i’ll draw your attention to the pregnant secretary”, which is a real thing i heard in court

(”my learned friend” is code for “this dipshit”)

the cop version of this is “in fairness to you”

like, “now i understand that you’re claiming these are all bathsalts, but just in fairness to you i will let you know that we carried out a roadside drug test and did find that all the containers held high concentrations of methamphetamines”
