Look! I DID NOT edit these scenes. I just giffed them as they were.
This is not a Fan Video.
This is the Season 12 recap video made by CW They are the ones who have chosen the song and selected the scenes (in this order) to fit perfectly well with the lyrics.
But I kept the best for last : The end of the video :
See CW, we are not making this up. This is all your doing. And you’re doing it deliberately
Do you have something specific you’d like to call me out over with regards to this, babe? Because I already knew these were the discords around this game and I thought they were all pretty ridiculous. Still think so, in fact.
Also: I seldom give two shits about the opinions of people who haven’t consumed a piece of indie media with regards to their comments on it. If a person hasn’t played this game in particular, I don’t care what they think of it? That’s the call I made, can’t tell anyone else how to make their choices.
In the Discourse, shorthanded expressions have taken over for proper argumentation. Expressions like “problematic” and “there is no ethical consumption under capitalism” are rapidly losing meaning for me. YMMV.
So, here’s my take on this as Auntie Z: ‘problematic’ was never meant to be sufficient argument to wholly destroy or eliminate something, it was a shorthand, like ‘because reasons.’ If something is ‘problematic’ to you, and I am interested in why because I value your particular opinion, I will ask, but otherwise my attitude is that it is problematic for you, and that’s actually for your protection. You are not obligated to educate me, and if you don’t want to explain, dude, no worries- but you still have to understand that nobody gets carte blanche always to determine what is problematic for me.
I know there are people who filter their media consumption based wholly on the opinions of other people, but I am just not that guy. Especially when it comes to indie media.
I have some people in my circles who have let this trend injure them, repeatedly, and isolate them from what media’s intended to be: tools used for education, expression, escapism, and enjoyment.
Still, I am thirty-five years old and the mileage on my soul has given me a measure of toughness/rigor/rigidity to my opinions. I have chosen to only trust the opinions of certain people when it comes to my filters. This is partially in self defense as a content creator who understands that purity culture is so extreme in this era of internet reviews that witch hunts and endless callouts are straight up desensitizing me and other members of the audience.
No Ethical Consumption is becoming my response to things being problematic, which is, lol, problematic in and of itself. “I don’t like this because of who made it.” Okay. “I don’t like this because of who funded it.” Okay. “I don’t like this because of who participated in it.” Okay. “I don’t like this because of how it was executed.” That might be interesting, perhaps elaborate. “I don’t like this because of reasons.” That’s your right.
I don’t like being told what to do, though. That’s where my Murica! starts acting up.
I like making my own decisions about critical media discussion. Especially with indie material. It’s too much of a slippery slope to actual censorship, my guy. Don’t like, don’t read/play/buy/consume is the mantra I was raised with, as far as fandom’s concerned, and it’s one I advocate for those with the intestinal fortitude for independent critical thought. If you’re in a place where you need to let others determine what you consume, that’s legit, that’s your choice, but not everybody comes from that place, and that’s also okay.
It’s a spectrum, dude, not a binary. Like most things.
Hey guys, so I’m sort of new to this Fandom life thing. And because of that, my dash is dead and I’m open to any suggestion you guys gonna give me. I interested in:
But, if you get other suggestion that may be catch my interest, I’m open to that to. You could like or reblog this then I’ll check your page out. Or message me who I need to follow.
Thanks!! Peace out!
I’ve lost almost all my contacts in the Sherlock fandom at this point (s4 was rough…), but for SPN:
@tenoko1 is a destiel fan, a wonderful writer, a major geek/nerd (you will get marvel), and a very kind person
@destiel-is-cockles-fault is probably someone you want to follow, as is the energizer bunny of Destiel positivity that is @tinkdw
If for some reason you’re still reading this, hi. I’m Triss. This is a spn blog, destiel is my flagship (I do multiship but I tag for your blacklisting convience) and I am a s13 positive bean who loves the cast and the families, occasionally writes meta and fic, and generally flails about having fun.
I THINK I WAS LISTED WITH THE ARTISTS BY ACCIDENT BUT I WILL SHARE MY STICK FIGURES WITH Y’ALL IF YOU WANT
That said, I have great interest in Dean/Cas and Dean getting thrown into things such as walls.
Oh gosh don’t forget Mel– @justanotheridijiton for the “news in the fandom” section. Mel is a magical finder of sources. 😛
you ever think about the fact that purgatory is a place that makes you bare, strips you down to nothing but raw instinct, makes you “pure,” and that in that setting, for a whole year, every single unadulterated instinct dean had was to find cas
Onfim was a child who lived in Novgorod, Russia, in the 13th century. He left his notes and homework exercises scratched in soft birch bark (beresta) which was preserved in the clay soil of Novgorod. Onfim, who archaeologists believe was six or seven at the time, wrote in Old Novgorodian; besides letters and syllables, he
drew battle scenes and drawings of himself, his family, and his teacher.
i’ve seen similar ones from roman children living in what is now england, too. People have ALWAYS been people.
i love this so much, history with real people in it
see also -archeologists at hadrians wall dig up a letter from a roman soldier to his family tanking them for sending him a new pair of underwear in the mail -norse runes scattered around constantanople and several cathedrals turn out to be viking graffiti, including “this is very high” over two stories up -the oldest known joke (egyptian) and the oldest known english joke are both lowbrow sex jokes -roman gladiators had equivalents to sponsorship deals, some murals found were basically ‘gladiator brad pitt rubs himself with capelli brand olive oil, try some today’ and action figures were also found of prominent fighters for chidlren to play with -flat stone fragments left at egyptian construction sites were used as post it notes by workers, some included variations of ‘the foreman is a jerkface’ and a crude drawing of the pharoh with a comically large donger -we have an embarrassing wealth of 4,000 year old receipts referring to one specific merchant being an ass. WE KNOW HIM BY NAME, he wasnt even a king or anything,
Ea-nasir will be known through history for being a dick about refunds
I love how children, even in the 13th century, can never remember how many fingers someone has.
I am the very model of a shrewd Ferengi businessman I’ve been on Deep Space Nine since it was run by the Cardassians My bar provides each alien that passes through its double doors With gambling and alcohol, and holographic paramours
But that is not to say that I’m impervious to harder times I’ve often been accused of larceny and graft and other crimes My righteous indignation is becoming quite demonstrable Especially with my old friend, the law-enforcing Constable.
I’m singing this while sitting in a holding cell familiar So Odo comes and lets me out before he goes peculiar That good-cop, bad-cop subroutine he just took to employing Could use some work (or one more cop) – it’s really quite annoying.
Clark Backo will play Patience Turner, a new member of the Wayward Sisterhood. A high school over-achiever, Patience’s life is turned upside down when she discovers she’s a powerful psychic, a gift she inherited from her estranged grandmother (and season one Supernatural character) Missouri Moseley. Hunted by dark forces for her power, Patience finds refuge with Jody and her wayward family.
Loretta Devine, who played Kansas psychic Missouri Moseley in a memorable appearance as a Winchester family friend in the season one episode “Home,” will return to Supernatural for an episode from the upcoming season.’
