When you get a whim to paint a car, Baby is a darned good subject. This piece was inspired by a vintage 1967 print ad for the Impala coupe.

Happy 50th, Baby | est. 4/24/1967
On April 21, 1967, the 100 millionth GM vehicle rolled off the line at the plant in Janesville – a blue two-door Caprice. There was a big ceremony, speeches. The lieutenant governor even showed up. Three days later, another car rolled off that same line. No one gave two craps about her. But they should have, because this 1967 Chevrolet Impala would turn out to be the most important car, no, the most important object, in pretty much the whole universe.
poor baby 😦 [x]
While filming yesterday I noticed an old hollowed out car sitting off in the background. I wandered over and there she was. 10 years later. The ORIGINAL Impala from season 1. The one that got hit by the truck in the finale. That’s right, we still have her. I had no idea. It’s been over a decade since I’ve seen this car, and yet she’s still here…hiding in the shadows. I guess you’re never really dead on this show. #Nostalgia #Baby
