People have a right to complete bodily autonomy and this includes abortion

Second:

Saying that having an abortion because of a fetal abnormality / genetic defect is akin to eugenics or genocide is ghoulish and gross.

An abortion is not:

• A statement about the validity of the lives of the disabled
• A statement about the actual or perceived value of disabled to society
• A statement about you as a disabled person
• A statement about the value of the lives of people with specific types of disabilities 
• Ableist, racist, or any other kind of “-ist” or “-ism”

An abortion is:

• The termination of a pregnancy
• A choice
• A right 

The reason someone chooses to have an abortion is:

• None of your fucking business 

Exactly. People need to stop using disabled people, people with birth defects as props to argue against abortion. Abortion saves lives.

The sad thing is, I wrote this post because I was seeing disabled people saying some of the terrible things I mentioned here. Disabled people were comparing abortion due to fetal abnormality or genetic disease to genocide. 

Abortion saves lives.
