In case you still don’t understand how badly women have had it, when anaesthetic was first invented doctors weren’t allowed to give it to women who were giving birth because the church said that the pain of childbirth was God punishing women for not being men
I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that it was women being punished for not being men? Biblically, the pain of childbirth is Eve’s curse for being the one responsible for the Fall. She ate the apple first, and gave it to Adam. She also passed the curse on to all her descendants.
Which doesn’t mean it’s not a stupid idea, and a woman should have pain relief if she wants it, being aware of the very real risks associated with it and childbirth, especially when it comes to an epidural.
