Recently I’ve been re-listening to the Dragonriders of Pern series, and this one scene with Ruth and Jaxom struck me as a really neat shot.
How many series would make it so you could ride dragons in space after all?

Quick watercolor sketch in my trusty moleskine. Still not over my current Pern phase. This time it’s Mnementh.

People seemed to like this nugget, so I decided to sketch him up nice ‘n proper! This fellow here has diprosopus, born with two separate, but yet conjoined faces.
The way I think of this guy, he would probably have one single name, think of itself as one singular body, but calls itself ‘we’, rather than ‘I’. A brain that would be one single organ, but caught between the split – much like the head(s). So two frontal cortexes, I guess? I should really look further into this.
He’s probably not a happy fellow. Probably not a very good thing to be bonded to either.
Just quick speedpaint of my fan-OC blue dragonrider M’ran.
A personal piece to put my new graphic tablet (XP Pen Artist 22HD) through its paces. Dragonriders of Pern, of course! Weyrlingmasters overseeing the wing practice of a new batch of weyrlings!
WIP – Workin’ on a Blue Pernese dragon :3
the wing is probably a little far back/too small…but it’s canon that a dragon can do what it believes it can do – so the wings don’t really have to make sense, yes? ;D or maybe it’s a baby blue~
nah mostly it’s, i got this far and it’s not worth the effort to fiddle over that rn
Some more oldies, but I still like them–I even tell myself I might go back and do new colors for them someday… We’ll see. 😉
