in all seriousness, Cas swallowing the blade is NOT dumb because of the reason you stated. The idea of Dean having to literally tear Cas apart to get to the blade would def put a damper on any urges he’s feeling to have it. Crowley doesn’t give a shit, though, as we’ve seen before, and therefore makes Cas hiding another powerful item in his stomach a superbly stupid move.(Also, the visual of MOC power/gorehungry!Dean straddling Cas and literally ripping him apart is terrifying. I sorta want it.)

punkascas:

Or trying to rip him apart? Like, there’s the reverse crypt scene right there, right? Dean trying to get the blade all bloodlust-y and Cas trying to talk him down and knowing he has to get through to Dean before Dean rips him open and touches the blade because then all will be lost.

… Right? I kind of want it now.

(And, yeah, see your point about Crowley. But I’m not sure if Crowley has motivation for getting the blade. In terms of revenge on Dean, retrieving the blade from Cas doesn’t seem like it should be Plan A. I mean, Dean was pretty uncontrollable as a demon. There’d be nothing to stop Dean from killing Crowley if Dean ever got the blade from Crowley. Or even if Dean ever found out Crowley hurt Cas and stole the blade again.)
