The look on Dean’s face tho. There are no other options, that is what they are doing and I don’t think he can even contemplate otherwise.

Wasn’t there a story of some sort about… a couple? One had a cherished family heirloom watch and the other had beautiful hair? Then the one cut her hair and sold it to buy the other a chain for the watch but that one sold the watch to buy combs and brushes for the other? Isn’t that that story?
They end up sacrificing parts of themselves to provide for the other, is the point. And I??? Just???
“We need him to save Dean.”
“We save Cas.”

Cas has pawned the watch to buy the combs. Dean is about to sell his hair to buy the chain.

Fuck. I was at first thinking that Delphine was s mirror for Amara or something but she’s CAS. At least in Dean’s eyes. She trusted Dean and took this awesome power on just to save him…and it ended up destroying her and all he could do was watch, just like with Amara. He thinks all he’s gonna be is a witness to Cas and Sam dying in the fight.

Of course that’s not true but…god that makes the look on his face at the end even worse.
