I can’t get over how the baby girl cried and reached out for Sam as he’s being poisoned by the mist. Babies usually don’t reach out to strangers. I dunno, it’s as if this pure child recognize another pure soul and seeing him hurt was hurting her.

YES. It’s just so perfect. The other adults, understandably, were cautious, but the baby girl was just like NO HE’S HURTING LET ME GO TO HIM. I identify with her. Those were my feelings exactly.

According to a fan who watched them film that day (here) , in between takes Jared would play with the little girl to make sure she won’t get scared by things going around her.  I think she was truly upset in this scene because she doesn’t understand that Sam in pain was all pretend, that’s how strong of a rapport Jared had with the little girl.

Townspeople in 11×20 – Mirrors, Mirrors, Everywhere…

bluestar86:

One of the things I picked up on in the side story of this episode with
Sam and Dean and the fog attack, was how every word used to describe these
people seemed to have some meaning to it. So much of what was said reminded me
of other things that I had to sit up and pay attention to these peoples
stories.

First we have Wes, the victim who committed suicide
because his “life was meaningless and nobody loved
him
”

“It was like every negative thought he
ever had came spilling out”

Honestly as soon as I heard that description I
thought Castiel. Because isn’t
that basically what has happened to him this season? these two lines are pretty
much all we know about this victim other than the fact that he killed himself
and a work colleague (we all know how
many ‘work colleagues’ Castiel has had to kill since day one.)

Ever since 11×06 we have been given hints into
Castiel’s mindset and it all comes down to this. I previously talked about the
scene in 11×18 where Castiel believes that Dean would have an ‘objective
view’ of the situation. Because he thinks that Dean is devoid
of any emotion
towards him. You could interpret that as Dean
doesn’t love him.

and yet…

The only other
thing we learn about this first victim is this –

She
loved Wes till the day she died… I don’t know why he’d say anything like
that.”

Wes may not have believed that he was loved, but
textually, it was just confirmed that he
was

Then we have the
blonde Cop. Who wanted to get off work early to see her husband because they
were newlyweds. Not only that but did anyone elses ears perk up at the phrase
“you got your ears on?” because I know mine did.

She was an obvious
Dean mirror to me. The “ears on” line notwithstanding. The whole deal
about getting taken over by the fog, Amara controlling her to give her message
to Dean…

Amara made her kill
her husband and then when she tried to kill herself

She won’t let me”

How ominous was that? Especially when followed by the double meaning in the next line:

She says its a mirror… she’s showing us the truth…

Honestly I just thought that was funny because it seemed like ‘mirror’ was a strange word to use to describe what she was showing them but hey ho. Yes thank you Robbie we figured that one out.

So if she was a
Dean mirror, why all the fluffy story about being a newlywed and getting to go early
to see her husband? how does this have any effect on the greater story? baring
in mind these episodes are squeezed into 40 minutes and therefore only the
important stuff makes the cut?

Because she was a
newlywed. When everything was still so new and exciting she had that ripped
away from her by Amara…

Don’t forget that
her husband looked like this:

By all means say
I’m reaching. But the silver plaid and the blue striped pot plants and the
dark hair I dunno maybe its just me but seriously this is how I would dress a
human Cas in a future fic.

And hey! He didn’t
want her to forget the handcuffs either! *nudge nudge wink wink*

So yes I see the ladycop and her newlywed husband as another DeanCas parallel and their story seemed so horrid for a second there. Dean mirror forced to watch whilst Amara used his body to kill Cas mirror? Dean mirror tries to kill himself but she wont let him.

Chuck then turns up and brings everyone back to life and dean and cas mirror get a happy reunion that the camera seemed to focus on for a rather long minute there at the end. Make sure the audience notes that love is reunited eh?

Love reunites? we can hope. This is pure speculation but maybe this is Robbie giving us another heads up for an episode to come… Its gonna look really fucking awful for Dean and Cas for a second there but DONT WORRY GUYS they will be okay in the end, even if it takes a miracle to get them there. We know Robbie has done this before, so he may be doing it again.

We also got these two…

I’m sorry but the costume department dressed them just like dean and cas! and I KNOW that people laugh at us for focussing on clothing but when you put it with everything else it just seems kinda suspicious ya know?

it just seemed to me that this episode was full with DeanCas romantic mirrors. I found it interesting. Take from this what you will. 😉

side-eyeing the people ranting about how they are leaving the show because of bi god and how it’s “so disrespectful” like…. did y’all miss god being called a dick, a crappy deadbeat dad, etc. for the past seven seasons?

you managed to stick around while the show said god was a piece of shit, but now the fact that he’s not straight is “too much”?

1. chuck is a fictional character and an avatar for the creators of the show and he has no more bearing on whatever version of god you believe in than castiel or balthazar or gabriel or whoever have on whatever angels you consider real

2. your thinly veiled queerphobia is showing

feel free to let the door hit you on your way out 🙂

Seriously all of this.

Can never be said enough.

SPN 11×20: Don’t call me Shurley

*FUCKING SCREAMS* The Samulet is back. Holy shit. Six years of angst about that, and the theories were right. Sam fished it out of that fucking motel trash can and had it in his pocket this whole time. At least I’m assuming he had it, and that Chuck didn’t just put it there, given Chuck’s line about: “You’ll never guess where this thing has been all this time.”

That’s literally all I took from this episode that I actually cared about, honestly. It’s great that those people were saved from Amara’s fog though. Loved the shot of Dean carrying the glowing amulet down the street in shock.

There was some beautiful comedy at the beginning, at Eric Kripke’s expense.
