Sorry, love, where Cas was concerned it was so badly written Cas could have been a hatstand.
With a bag of snacks.
I don’t think he was meant to be in the episode and then Misha showed up on set because of a scheduling confusion, and everyone felt too bad to tell him to go home so they got the camera guy to jot down a few lines for him while he was in make up.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Cas currently can’t fly, right? His wings are probably too damaged. When I remembered that, it explained well enough for me why he didn’t pop into the motel room to heal Charlie.
CONFIRMED: Charlie’s death was real and permanent!
Just in from new #Asylum14 tweets, Robbie Thompson (creator of this
character) and Jim Michaels (producer of the series) did NOT approve
killing off Charlie and were actually against it. Unfortunately,
the “bosses said otherwise” – which would including showrunners Jeremy
Carver and Robert Singer.
We cannot leave things the way they are!
Even though this decision was already made, we still have season 11 to change things. Don’t forget that Dean, Sam, and Cas have all died several times and always come back. Why should Charlie be any different? Charlie is a hero who represented women, LGBTQ+, and was Supernatural’s first positive portrayal of fans. She matters to us!

If you need help with a message on your card, you can take a look at some of the tweets we have “favorited” on Twitter [here] or the #BringBackCharlie
feed on Twitter.. These are tweets of fans expressing their opinion
over Charlie’s death that you may identify with. You can use that as a
starting point for your message. Just try to reword it slightly.
No worries. I totally get that–there are several never-ending fandom “discussions” that frustrate me no end and make me want to bitch-slap people up and down Main Street. TWICE.
A while back, there was a show that just completely broke me. Because of things going on in my life at the time, I identified so strongly with one of the characters that when the bad stuff happened, and his world fell apart because love is sacrifice, I kept saying, “It feels like it’s happening to me.” And that’s where I think a lot of this I’m just done attitude is coming from, because even though they’re fictional, the love and grief and pain we feel because of them is genuine and must be suffered through out here in the real world, in real time.
If I’d said, “I’m just done,” when I first realized how that character’s story was going to play out, I might have spared myself more than a year of grief.
Okay as bummed as I am, I’m going to play devil’s advocate and argue that it was necessary. And it wasn’t just to further man pain. What happened on Supernatural last night happened for the same reason Kevin died last season. Something terrible had to happen to show that Dean massively fucked up and Kevin was the only character they could afford to kill off. The same concept applies here.
Something terrible had to happen to show that Sam massively fucked up and there was only one character they could afford to kill off. I knew what was going to happen when I read the synopsis for next weeks which is something along the lines of “Sam has to deal with the aftermath of his decision”. This is Kevin/Ezekiel 2.0 and “aftermath” just screamed character death to me. And there was only one logical person it could have been.
And yes its super shitty because Charlie was a bamf, and a woman, and a lesbian. But this unfortunately was bound to happen. Everyone dies
on this show eventually. And damn, she went down swinging.
Pretty much EVERYBODY on my dash is saying how OOC of Charlie it was to leave the brewery, but…
Sam said, “You’d be working with one of the most dangerous witches in the world.”
And then Rowena talked about how easily she could read Charlie, and proceeded to say things designed to make Charlie start questioning herself as well as the Winchesters.
And then we see them arguing. Charlie complains to Cas about Rowena “criticizing [her], breathing down [her] neck,” to the point that she feels that “something bad is going to happen here.”
And then, Charlie says, “My mind is… is… It’s a wad of gummi worms.”
Charlie Bradbury, who out-thought Dick friggin’ Roman, who, as everyone also pointed out, survived months if not years of being on the front lines in a war in Oz against an evil wizard. Even before Oz, she was pretty hard to reduce to that kind of muddled thinking even when when she was terrified. She nicked the Book of the Damned and successfully eluded the Stynes for weeks.
Rowena wants to hurt the Winchesters, and specifically Dean. Charlie flat out told her that she loved Dean. Cas’ reaction to the situation would have told Rowena how much Dean thought of Charlie.
Rowena has cast spells that had demons seeing things and doubting their own perceptions, yes? Manipulating their minds into dreaming specific things.
Maybe I’m adding two and two and getting oranges, but it’s entirely possible that Bucklemming were trying to show us that Charlie was OOC because Rowena manipulated her into it.
