My mum who is very GA and very heteronormative watched the reunion scene with me and when Dean said ‘I do’ she was like “And kiss!” And im still in shock
“the music is in Dean’s head and Cas can hear it” is my new favorite thing and it makes an already amzing episode a hundred time better. so thx lizzy (☞ﾟ∀ﾟ)☞ (and also bless the longing retcon that makes it totally plausible i guess? the gift that keeps on giving :D)
Listen, Cas’s face doesn’t even make sense in this episode if you don’t assume that he can hear Dean’s music and he’s reacting to it with confusion and resignation that this is the man he’s fallen in love with.
It’s canon that Cas can hear music in people’s heads. He heard music in Fred’s head at the end of “ Hunteri Heroici.” So, of course, he hears the music in Dean’s head.

This episode again confirms that it takes literally nothing away from Supernatural by making Destiel canon. The bickering? The stuff they confirm they do offscreen? If they had kissed at any point before the episode no one would think this wasn’t the behaviour of an old couple. Because seriously, you can’t get more married.
I’ve had these kind of conversations with my partner before; “you made me do X, remember?” *disgruntled but also fond noises because you love doing something for the person you love*.
Just kiss already, please. 😛
